Take Action.
While the American Rescue Plan is changing the course of the pandemic and delivering relief for working families, this is no time to build back to the way things were. This is the moment to reimagine and rebuild a new economy. The American Jobs Plan is an investment in America that will create millions of good jobs, rebuild our country’s infrastructure, and position the United States to out-compete China. Public domestic investment as a share of the economy has fallen by more than 40 percent since the 1960s. The American Jobs Plan will invest in America in a way we have not invested since we built the interstate highways and won the Space Race. Find Out More About The Plan!
The BUILD GREEN Infrastructure and Jobs Act would address the climate crisis and our crumbling infrastructure by providing $500 billion in grant funding for roads, bridges, and rail, while electrifying our public transportation systems over the next ten years.

The BUILD GREEN Act provides us an unique opportunity to create clean energy jobs and lay out the foundation for a 100% renewable energy future. Together, we can build back fossil free, but first we need your support.

The Good jobs For All Pledge:

On April 7th the Sunrise Movement is calling on every Member of Congress and President Biden to sign the Good Jobs for All Pledge to pass legislation that ensures a federal job guarantee to every American. These jobs will be the backbone of building a just, sustainable, and people-centered new economy.

The legislation would guarantee good jobs for all, invest $10 trillion over the next decade to create millions of union jobs addressing the crises of climate change, economic inequality, and systemic racism, and put money into the hands of people and communities, not the wealthy few.

Good Reads.
The Years Project has been doing documentaries and videos exclusively on the climate crisis for ten years now. The emphasis in these videos is on the huge impact climate change is having on regular Americans from California’s Central Valley to Staten Island in New York. They also point to the ultimate power all Americans have to solve the climate crisis: the power to vote for candidates who support real action on climate.
Days to Remember.

Featured Climate Champion!
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a third-generation Bronxite, educator, and organizer serving the 14th district of New York in the Bronx and Queens. Ocasio-Cortez grew up experiencing the reality of New York’s rising income inequality, inspiring her to organize her community and run for office on a progressive platform with a campaign that rejects corporate PAC funds.

She is now championing the new BUILD GREEN (Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development and Generating Renewable Energy to Electrify the Nation) Infrastructure and Jobs Act in Congress:

“The BUILD GREEN Act helps ensure that our federal dollars are being invested in infrastructure that can sustain the impact of climate change and better prepares our communities for extreme weather events.

In most of the country, subways, buses, and other public transit are practically inaccessible or completely overburdened,” meaning that “this bill would make a dramatic, material difference in the everyday lives of hundreds of millions of people.”
When we organize, we can change the world.
We are so glad to be your partner in this movement for democracy and justice for all.
